From 0:00 to 24:00 on February 17, 2021, Shanghai added 3 confirmed cases imported from overseas. One new discharged case was added.

As of 24:00 on February 17, 2021, 632 confirmed cases were reported overseas and 28 related cases were reported overseas. 618 patients were discharged from hospital and 42 patients were still treated in hospital.

As of 24:00 on February 17, 2021, 349 confirmed cases in China had been reported. 348 patients were discharged from hospital and 1 patient died.

New imported confirmed cases abroad 1:

Male, 54 years old, native of Jiangsu, resident in Zhenjiang city, Jiangsu province, worker.

New imported confirmed cases abroad 2:

Male, 55 years old, native of Jiangsu, permanent residence in Huai’an city, Jiangsu province, worker.

New overseas imported confirmed cases 1 and 2 have the same entry itinerary. From Congo gold to Kenya on February 8, and from Kenya on February 12, KQ882 flew to Shanghai for entry on February 13. After sampling, the customs transferred to the centralized isolation point according to the whole closed-loop management procedure, the feedback of coronavirus nucleic acid was negative. During the centralized isolation period, all the new coronavirus nucleic acids detected were positive, that is, they were transferred to the Eighth People’s Hospital of Shanghai for isolation treatment. After CT examination and expert consultation, all of them were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new coronavirus pneumonia.

Male, 61 years old, native of Shanghai, resident in Shanghai, Shanghai province, retired. On February 5th, he traveled from Nigeria to Kenya. On February 12th, he took flight KQ882 and arrived in Shanghai on February 13th. After sampling, the customs transferred to the centralized isolation point according to the whole closed-loop management procedure, and the feedback of the new coronavirus nucleic acid was negative. During centralized isolation, the new coronavirus nucleic acid was tested positive, which was transferred to the Eighth People’s Hospital of Shanghai for isolation treatment. After CT examination and expert consultation, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of new coronavirus.

From Nigeria to Egypt on January 7, from Egypt to Kenya on February 7, and from Kenya on February 12, KQ882 flight arrived in Shanghai on February 13, after sampling, the customs will transfer to the centralized isolation point according to the whole closed-loop management procedure, and feedback the nucleic acid negative of the new coronavirus. Male, 34 years old, native of Jiangsu, resident in Yangzhou city, Jiangsu province, worker. On February 8th, he traveled from Nigeria to Kenya.
