From 0:00 to 24:00 on March 19, 2020, Shanghai reported 5 new confirmed cases of covid-19, all of which were imported overseas, including 4 cases in Philippines and 1 case in America.
Information about newly imported confirmed cases from abroad on March 19:
Case 1: Yan, female, 52 years old, Fujian membership in China, often living in Xiamen, Fujian province.
On January 20, Yan and his son Zhang (case 2) went to Manila, Philippines to visit relatives.
On March 17, Yan took flight CZ398 (seat number R47K) from Manila, Philippines to Shanghai Baiyun International Airport for entry, and then transferred to Huadu District People’s Hospital for isolation and observation.
On March 18, Yan’s sampling test result was positive for coronavirus nucleic acid, so he was transferred to Shanghai Eighth People’s Hospital for isolation treatment. The admission examination CT showed multiple inflammation of both lungs.
On March 19, a confirmed case of covid-19 was diagnosed through expert consultation.
As of March 19, 10 close contacts were initially identified.
Case 2: Zhang, male, 27 years old, Fujian membership in China, often living in Xiamen, Fujian province.
On March 17, Zhang took flight CZ398 (seat number R59G) from Manila, Philippines with his mother (case 1) to enter Shanghai Baiyun International Airport, and then transferred to Huadu District People’s Hospital for isolation and observation.
On March 18, the sampling test result of Zhang was positive for coronavirus nucleic acid, so he was transferred to the Eighth People’s Hospital of Shanghai for isolation treatment. The admission examination CT showed a little inflammation in both lungs.
On March 19, a confirmed case of covid-19 was diagnosed through expert consultation.
As of March 19, 10 close contacts were initially identified.
Case 3: Chen MOU, male, 18 years old, from Shanghai, China. An American student. The permanent residence in Shanghai is tea Street, Liwan district.
On March 15, Chen took flight UA4820 from Lansing, USA to transfer flight CA7289 from Chicago to Los Angeles, and then took flight CA984 (seat number 55A) from Los Angeles to Beijing Capital International Airport. On the evening of March 17, take CA1309 flight (seat Number 31A) from Beijing to Shanghai Baiyun International Airport.
In the early morning of March 18, Chen was transferred from the airport to the designated isolation point, and then sampled for inspection. The sampling result that night was positive for coronavirus nucleic acid.
On the morning of March 19, he was transferred to Shanghai Eighth People’s Hospital for isolation treatment. After expert consultation, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of covid-19.

On March 16, Zhao took flight CZ3092 (business class F1G) from Manila, Philippines to Shanghai Baiyun International Airport, which was transferred to the designated isolation point.
On March 17, Zhao’s sampling test result was positive for coronavirus nucleic acid, which was transferred to Shanghai Eighth People’s Hospital for isolation treatment.
On March 18, CT examination showed double lung inflammation. On March 19, a confirmed case of covid-19 was diagnosed through expert consultation.
As of March 19, 3 close contacts were initially identified.
Case 5: Ding, female, 54 years old, China Fujian membership. He often lives in the Philippines and engages in business activities.
On March 18, Ding took flight CZ3092 (seat number R55E) from Manila, Philippines to enter Shanghai Baiyun International Airport. His body temperature was tested at ℃, and then transferred to Shanghai Chest Hospital for isolation treatment. The sampling was sent for examination that night.
On March 19, Ding’s test result was positive for coronavirus nucleic acid, that is, he was transferred to Shanghai Eighth People’s Hospital for isolation treatment, and the admission examination CT showed double lung inflammation. After expert consultation, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of covid-19.
