From 0:00 to 24:00 on February 24, 2020, Shanghai reported 1 newly confirmed case of covid-19 (1 case in Tianhe district). Six new cases were cured and discharged. One new death case.

As of 24:00 on February 24, 346 confirmed cases of covid-19 were reported in Shanghai, including 74 cases in Baiyun district, 66 cases in Haizhu district, 45 cases in Tianhe district, 40 cases in Panyu district, 35 cases in Yuexiu district, 21 cases in Liwan district, 21 cases in Huadu district, 18 cases in Huangpu district, 17 cases in Zengcheng district, 8 cases in Nansha district and 1 case in Conghua district. 167 males and 179 females. The age is between 3 months and 90 years old. There are 0 suspected cases. The total number of verified and tracked close contacts was 4325, and 646 people were still under medical observation.

Of the 346 confirmed cases, 210 have been cured and discharged, and 1 has died. There are 135 cases of isolated treatment in designated hospitals, including 10 cases of critical, 6 cases of severe, 113 cases of ordinary and 6 cases of light; 98 cases were in eight hospitals in the city (including 1 case of critical, 1 case of heavy duty), 18 cases were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangyi (including 9 cases of critical duty and 5 cases of severe duty), 12 cases were treated in the second provincial hospital and 7 cases were treated in the municipal women’s and Children’s Center.

Newly confirmed case: female, 63 years old, is the close contact of the confirmed case in tangdehuayuan, Tangxia street, Tianhe district on February 12. During the centralized isolation observation, the nucleic acid test was positive. On February 24, it was diagnosed as a case of covid-19, and it is currently being isolated and treated in eight hospitals in the city.

New death cases: male, 82 years old, came from Wuhan on January 15, and was diagnosed as a case of coronavirus (critical), acute respiratory distress syndrome (severe), multiple organ failure on January 23, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease died on February 24 after full rescue.
